Jan Vejmělek has been the chief economist of Komerční banka since December 2010. He joined Komerční banka in 1998 as a securities market analyst. Since 2002, he has held the position of head of the Economic and Strategic Research Department of Investment Banking of Komerční banka. Jan focuses primarily on macroeconomic analysis of the Czech economy and the foreign exchange market.

Jan Vejmělek is a graduate of the Faculty of Finance and Accounting of the University of Economics in Prague (major specialization Finance, minor specialization Economics of Industrial Enterprise). In 2003, he completed doctoral postgraduate studies at the same faculty in the field of Economic Policy and Administration, specializing in Finance. Between 2004 and 2006, he completed distance postgraduate studies at the CFA Institute (USA).

Jana Steckerová has been working at Komerční banka since January 2014. In addition to the Czech economy, she focuses on monitoring the macroeconomic situation in the CEE region. Before that, she worked for many years in a similar position at ING Bank. Jana studied business economics at the University of Economics in Prague.

Bohumil Trampota joined Komerční banka in November 2019, when he became a member of the economic and strategic research team. He has 15 years of experience in the capital markets and has focused mainly on equity analyzes of Czech and foreign companies. At Komerční banka, he is in charge of stock analyzes of selected securities traded on the Prague Stock Exchange. Bohumil Trampota is a graduate of the Faculty of Management and Economics in Zlín.

Kevin Tran Nguyen joined Komercni banka's Economic & Strategy Research team as a junior economist in 2022. During his studies, he worked partly as an analyst in the team beforehand. His responsibilities and focus include analysis and forecasting of the Czech economy and banking sector. He joined KB in his current position shortly after graduating from the Institute of Economic Studies, Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University. He graduated from the Economics and Finance programme with a major in Finance, Financial Markets and Banking.

Jaromír Gec is an Economist – Strategist at Komerční banka, having joined in December 2021. He mainly analyses and forecasts the government bond market, the yield curve, fiscal policy and the koruna exchange rate. He joined KB from the CNB, where he worked for four years as an economic analyst/senior analyst in the Macroeconomic Forecasting Division of the Monetary Department. He graduated from the Prague University of Economics and Business with a degree in Economic Analysis and a minor in Quantitative Analysis. He also spent a semester studying at the University of Lausanne.
