Basic rules for safe use of your payment card

  1. SIGNATURE
Sign your payment card immediately on receipt in the signature strip on the back of the card. We also recommend that you use a different specimen signature on your payment card than you have for your current account.
  2. CARD
The card is non-transferrable and is intended solely for use by the payment card holder. Do not lend your card to other people to make purchases or withdraw cash, even to the members of your family. It is issued in the name of the holder.
  3. PIN
The PIN, your personal identification number, is unique for every payment card. It is intended for you alone. Do not make a record of it on the payment card, do not write it in your diaries, in your personal documents or other items which you carry together with the payment card. Never divulge it to anybody else, even members of your family, the police, employees of the bank or staff in shops. We recommend that you change your PIN at regular intervals.

Only you are entitled to know your PIN.

  4. Carry your card separately from your personal documents and cash. Your payment card is used for the same purpose as cash, so handle it with the same care.
  5. Always remember to take back your card when making card transactions in an ATM or in a shop and take the transaction receipt and check the transaction amount.
  6. Protect your payment card against mechanical damage and the effects of magnetic fields. Under no circumstances enter your PIN into any other equipment, such as magnetic locks on doors, separate keypads with no connection to a payment terminal etc.
  7. Before you start using the card, carefully study the Terms and conditions for use of payment cards, which you received when applying for the payment card.
  8. If your payment card is withheld in any ATM, contact the branch of the bank which operates the ATM with a request for help. If you are not able to contact the ATM operator, contact the KB Client hotline on tel.: +420 955 512 230, where employees of KB will agree on a further course of action with you.
  9. Regularly check whether you have your payment card with you. Also monitor and check the account which the card is issued for. In the event of any discrepancies, immediately contact the free KB Info line on tel. 800 521 521.
  10. Store the number of the Client hotline for payment cards +420 955 512 230 in the memory of your mobile telephone. You can call this number to report the loss or theft of your card and thus block it against misuse (the so-called stoplist).
