the cheque is always covered – the client pays the amount for the cheque and the fees at the moment it is drawn up for a specific recipient, for the bearer or the party requesting issue of the cheque
possibility of sending the cheque to the recipient's address (by post or DHL)
it is not necessary to know the recipient's bank details
possibility of returning the cheque to the bank if the contract is cancelled or for another reason – funds for the cheque are immediately credited back to the account or paid out in cash
cancellation of the cheque (stop payment) in the event of:
its loss or theft
on expiry of the legally set deadline (money is credited to the applicant's account or paid out in cash after acknowledgement of the stop payment by the foreign bank, or in the case of a cheque issued in CZK, on expiry of the deadline as set out by law)
A Bank cheque issued by KB allows you to:
make a commercial payment
if cashless payment is not appropriate
e.g. the recipient's bank details are not known
if there is no desire to use another method of payment
e.g. documentary letter of credit or a bank guarantee
unsuitable for implementation of net payments
most banks charge a fee for cashing of cheques, which the recipient must pay
make payments for non-commercial obligations
for settlement of various obligations of natural persons – individuals
subscriptions for magazines
tuition fees
fees for accommodation when participating in seminars or registration fees
ensuring immediate cashing in KB
at KB branches if the bank's conditions for cashing of cheques are adhered to
in other banks, this is performed in line with the laws on cheques of the pertinent country and the commercial terms and conditions of the bank, which cash the cheque
