Corporate Social Responsibility
General theory defines corporate social responsibility (CSR) as the voluntary commitment
of companies to act responsibly towards the environment and society in which they do business. Komerční banka implements this theory in practice.
At Komerční banka, we regard CSR as one of the key factors in long-term success. CSR is, therefore, an integral part of the strategies for all our commercial activities. We try to create value for clients, employees, business partners, shareholders, investors and the whole of Société Générale group.
“Only a satisfied and loyal employee provides first class services to the clients”
The basic strategy of Komerční banka is to establish a long-term professional relationship with its employees
and clients, based on open and reciprocal communication. Our aim is to facilitate continuous
professional development for all employees, implemented in accordance with their wishes and personal qualifications.
“We are part of society.”
Charity projects constitute an integral part of the activities of KB. Via the KB’s Jistota Foundation, Komerční
banka and its employees contribute towards a wide range of charity projects. The foundation helps there, where the
money is most needed:
- Development of civic society
- Health care and social projects
- Environmental protection projects
“We support…strong ideas.”
The basic values of Komerční banka and the Société Générale Group are professionalism, innovation and team
spirit. We naturally also look for these values in the numerous cultural and social events that we support.
We focus on supporting activities of society-wide importance and reach, which are appropriately supplemented by smaller
projects focused above all on youth.
The sponsoring activities of Komerční banka also include support and development of non-professional sport.
“We think about the future.”
We introduce new processes and technologies, which are more environmentally friendly.
We look for ways to reduce consumption of paper and energy.
We try to increase awareness of all stakeholders (especially KB employees
and out clients) about the importance of this topic.
On a global scale…
